Bought this ~ 5 years ago for botanical and invertebrate use. I was recommended the x8 for viewing animals through plastic tubes, and the x8 and x15 for botanical use (smaller magnification allows more light, which is key really). Excellent quality, and space to clip a lanyard around one of the len fixture points. My only quibble is that I can not see a way of tightening the x15 lens connection with the housing, as it can swing out when you use it. But I never have had any subsequent problems with that feature. Also need to find a replacement carrying case which I was hoping to find on this website. Very very happy with this.

I had been planning for a while to purchase this particular hammer, and so was very excited when I received the invoice, which said it was on its way. What I didn't expect, however, was the speed of the delivery. Typically, a free delivery can take anywhere up to a week to arrive. The hammer arrived on November 12th via Royal Mail. Although, I did have to go along to the Royal Mail sorting office to collect it, I was incredibly excited when I saw the label on the packaging, which said 'UKGE'. I am very, very pleased with my purchase, and am looking very forward to putting it to use out in the field. The hammer is beautifully crafted. Slightly heavy, but a very solid design. I am now about to decide on which hammer to buy next.

Simple as you get too be honest. Kit comes as small sticks of dowel, with the top third wrapped in copper and minerals stuck to the top with epoxy resin. Holder is well designed and compact
