This is the recommended compass for Students on field trips, and is used by defence forces all over the world. The ‘S’ model is the same as the old TDCL, now includes a unique scale lanyard – 2 scales, soft and bendable, easy to place directly on to your route on the map. The new 2019 model is now more distinct, and easier to read.
The Expedition 15TDCL / S has a magnifying mirror and sighting hole for the most accurate bearings, complete with silicon rubber feet which help give it great friction on your map when taking those bearings. Equipped with Romer scales 1:50.000 and 1:25.000 for plotting positions on maps, and measuring scales in millimetres and inches. Luminous markings for night navigation and a built-in magnifying lens are other important features for the most demanding user. Expedition 15TDCL / S also has a built in adjuster for magnetic declination, and clinometer for measuring vertical angles.
